So you can go from feeling overwhelmed, depleted and unsure about how best to help to feeling confident and clear about how to care for your loved one and also take care of yourself.
You will work one-on-one with Dr. Chiaramonte to create your Caregiver's Compass. The plan will be individualized to your family and your needs. However at a minimum you learn about topics such as:
- Having difficult conversations
- Making hard medical decisions
- Dealing successfully with the medical system
- Dealing with tough emotions – yours and everyone else’s
- Handling family conflict
- Taking care of yourself while taking care of your loved one
- Creating a personalized caregiving and self-care plan
You'll have 4 coaching sessions with Dr. Chiaramonte that you can divvy up in the way that works best for your family. The sessions can be used individually, for siblings, for family meetings, etc. If you need more coaching sessions, they are available at a discounted rate.

No. Although Dr. Chiaramonte is an experienced physician with expertise in whole-person care for families facing serious illness, she will not be serving as your doctor or your loved one's doctor. She will be coaching and educating you and your family, but she will not be providing medical care.
We recognize the demands on your time, especially when caring for a loved one facing a serious illness. That's why our program is structured with your busy schedule in mind. Our Caregiver's Compass template and resource center provide your family with guidance that you can work through on your own time. Your one-on-one sessions with Dr. Chiaramonte can be scheduled around your other appointments.
